Last Day
For the last day I made cookies for the class. I also brought in pictures and a horseshoe from my summer job where I work on a ranch so that I could show them something about me. I thanked everyone for all that they had done for me. Later that day I was sent down the hall and when I returned I was ambushed by 33 kids yelling “Surprise!” They had a poster, cards, and a party set up. They went around the room and each shared something they liked about my teaching. It meant so much to me that they would do that. It was also nice to hear how I made a difference to each individual. It was very sad to leave because we had formed a great relationship, I felt like they were all my students.
